Carl Beam was a fearless visionary, and one of Canada's most influential and significant artists. This documentary explores his Indigenous childhood on Manitoulin Island and how the turbulent years he spent in residential school impacted him.

Personal remembrances along with insights about his art and ideas are vividly illustrated through dozens of Beam’s artworks, family photos, interviews, performance videos, and journals.

Better Day: The Sarah J Felker Story is a documentary that follows a young singer-songwriter from Guelph, Ontario as she attempts to break into the Canadian music industry. The file chronicles Sarah’s life over a three year period using video diary entries, live footage and interviews. It features Sarah opening for K’naan, traveling to Jamaica to reconnect with her estranged father, and meeting with record executives from Universal Canada and Warner Music. It also tells the story of her life growing up as a gay teenager and includes live performances shot at various venues in Guelph and Toronto. The film premiered on OutTV as part of their International Women’s Day programming.

Since completion of the documentary, Sarah is now going by the stage name NEFE. The inspiration for this name comes from Queen Nefertiti, Nefe stands to lead and empower women and men to accept their real beauty, not succumbing to the pressures of perfection defined by today’s media culture.

Jamland is more than a concert in the woods. It’s a state of mind. This documentary explores a grassroots music festival and delves into the lives of some of the people involved. It’s a film about music, life, and love, and the way music can take us out of our day-to-day problems and make us feel better.

Interviews with musicians Doug Burnside (Diesel Dog), Todd Gillies (Fat Cats), local slide guitar legend Dan Walsh, and Chuck Evans (Music Director, Y108) explore what makes jam music unique in comparison to other music genres. Filming for the documentary began in 2010, and the film includes live performance clips, animations and motion graphics.

A Growing Season follows Ontario farmer John Gorzo Jr. from the spring planting to the fall harvest eight months later. He struggles with unpredictable weather, turbulent markets and rocky finances. Gorzo, like many farmers, is confronted with a market system and globalized food supply system that works against small, family-run farm operations.
